It's very simple. The first thing you need to do is find yourself a nice, long scarf.
I found mine in H&M. I think it had about 2 meters, for I made my skirt and still have enough material left to make a small scarf to match my skirt. Well, that's an offer I couldn't refuse.
When you have found your scarf, take your measures and decide upon the length of the skirt. I added to the measurements 2 cm (aprox. 1,5 inch) for the hem.
Because the fabric was too see-through, I used 4 identical parts. I used a sewing machine, but if you have enough patience, you could also sew the skirt by hand.
Firstly, I sewed the two sets of two identical parts.
Considering that the original scarf had some beautiful tassels, I decided to keep the 'spirit of the scarf' and left them in their place. As you can see from the picture above, two tassels are on the side of the skirt.
Then, I sewed the two parts together and a white zip, to the side. Here's the result
I must admit that I had a lot of fun doing this project. You should try it, too! And don't worry that the result won't be by the book. Just keep in mind that it will be personalized :)
Since Marc by Marc Jacobs showed accessories covered in bunnies, and talks began about whether the bunny is the new cat, I thought that it was about time that the squirrel got a little fame of its own, too. Therefore, this blog’s only intent is to bring justice to other cute furry animals besides cats and bunnies. Let’s fashion up, squirrels!

Once an earring, now a locket
Yesterday I lost one of my earrings. Fortunately, one was still attached to my ear, when I noticed the other one missing.
Like they say, turn your loss into gain. And so I did. Starting from today, my earring is a locket. I found this in a mercery shop
And there it is
And there it is
